When a herd of buffalo are attacked by predators, the adults form a protective circle with horns facing outward around the young calves, When the peoples saw this, they called the buffalo the “keepers of the circle”. They knew that everything has a place on the medicine wheel of the universe; and within this one great circle there are many wheels that help us to understand life.
