Celestial Barge Necklace

In ancient Egypt, the moon was seen as a celestial boat floating over the arc of the sky.  Starting in the dark new moon, birthing into the crescent she grows into her fullness.  In this necklace the black South Sea pearl represents the dark moon and the crescent is carved from the pearl’s mother shell.
