Ganesh Shrine

Ganesha is the Hindu diety of new begginings and prosparity. He is the first archtype that is honored as we enter into a Hindu temple.  Rats are sacred to Ganesh and he rides on the back of a rat.  There is a story of Lord Brama having a race around the universe of all the gods. All the gods took off except Ganesha who jumped on his rat and rode arround Brama winning the race.
