Kawhu Necklace

In the Kachina ceremonies of the Zuni and Hopi tribes, Kawhu is the Eagle Being. To both the Europeans and to the Native Americans, the eagle is the symbol associated with spirit, lightning, thunder and fire. People all over the Earth work in a sacred way with this archetype in their ceremonies and in their dreams. We have all known that freedom of spirit as we fly in our dreaming state.
When in ceremony with the Eagle Kachina, the ceremonial dancer merges with this power. The Kachinas can then teach and heal the people included in the ceremony. Having relationship with the spirit world in this way is to experience Kawhu.
